Prince Kougaji's dad is the catalyst for much of the action in Saiyuki, and he never actually appears onscreen once! Kou does, though, and that's quite good enough for me. He's a wonderful tan-toned yokai with red hair and a scary demeanor who provides some of the best drama going!
