Now that I think about it more carefully, perhaps the appealing thing about B't X is that it does deal with stereotypes so well. This guy, known as "Metalface," is another stereotype -- the big tough fighter-dude type. And he'll surprise you at the end, too. This is a flashback shot of him from before he had the Machine Empire enhance his face. The cel had no mouth layer, but the impression of those lines was quite clear on the matching sketch so I snagged a piece of acetate and drew one for myself, placing it very carefully where the sketch showed it should be. The absolute best thing about this cel was that it was totally unexpected; I had no idea there was a second cel included in the auction!
