The Rurouni has just taken down the false Battousai and his henchmen, but still hasn't resheathed his sword. He turns to look over his shoulder and says that the Hitokiri Battousai doesn't use the Kamiya Kasshin style of swordsmanship, but rather the Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu. Kaoru realizes who exactly it is that she's been hanging around with.
