Kagome is the schoolgirl heroine of the series, who falls through a magical well back to the Warring States period, where she meets Inuyasha and becomes his constant companion. In this, one of my favorite moments from early in the series, Inuyasha has loaned her his protective top -- a very good idea, as it turns out. She's threatening the monster of the day, yelling "Let Inuyasha go!"
