At the end of the TV series, we have the Kenshingumi fighting a group of Feng Shui users who've passed down a grudge from the time of Tokugawa Ieyasu. They're trying to disrupt the flow of chi that has protected Tokyo since ancient times and establish a new flow, thus gaining control over the capitol.

Sanosuke is tasked with demolishing the new markers being erected all over the city after they're located. And here, he's just been shown one being hoisted into place atop a new building. Away he runs, to shatter the thing into rubble!
