Here's something that I could not possibly hope to find, much less acquire, in its original form. The close-up from the "blue" opening of Ruroni Kenshin! This is just breathtaking, perfect in every iota of its melancholy way. The background is an original watercolor and I suspect was hand-spatterpainted specifically for this fan cel.

There was another copy of this fan cel for sale earlier in the year which, much to my disappointment, sold for a much, much higher price than I could justify paying. When this one popped up I was ecstatic! My hat is completely off to the wonderful artist in Japan who has been producing these fabulous pieces for those who hold Kenshin in a place of utter reverence.
