Ken, Sano, and Yahiko are soaking in the boy's side of the hot spring, while the girls soak on their side, discussing the hazards posed by a group of vigilante swordsmen - the Shinko Ryu - who want to take Japan back. Kenshin--who has spent the 10 years since the Bakumatsu quietly keeping up on underground movements of this sort--freaks when he hears that name. In his fervor, Kenshin crashes through to the women's half of the pool declaring that they have to Do Something! Right Then, That They Do! and stops as he realizes that in fact he is NOT wearing his hakama. Or anything else, for that matter.

Best onsen scene ever. Megumi declares "Oh my, Kenshin, you are so well-built!" and from the man's side, nearly drowned out by the fracas erupting on the women's side, we see a placid Sanosuke say to Yahiko, "Not bad, that Hiten Mitsurugi swordsmanship!"
