Uende is definitely on to something with her line of original characters, as Hide (pronounced "Hee-day" if I'm remembering correctly), a glorious blonde, makes his entrance in early 2006. Everything about this character design is excellent, from the detailed folds and tears in the clothing to the fabulously rendered watch chain at his hip. (Uende has a real flair for illustrating metal!).
